Court Details & Operations
The Court Details page is your central workspace for managing a specific court date’s jury operations.
Accessing Court Details
From the Homepage:
- Click on any court date card
- You’ll be taken to the Court Details page for that court date
Page Layout
The Court Details page is divided into three main sections:
1. Header Section
- Court Date Name & Details: Display court date title, date, time, and courthouse
- Back to Homepage Link: Click to return to the dashboard
2. Metrics Section
- Juror State Breakdown: Real-time counts of jurors in each state
- Updates automatically as you perform actions
Live View Metrics:
- Queued
- Called to Appear
- Appeared
- At Risk to Appear
- Dismissed
Upcoming View Metrics:
- Summoned
- Signed Up
- Registered
- Exempted
- Disqualified
Past View Metrics:
- Summoned
- Called to Appear
- Appeared
- Failed to Appear
- Dismissed
3. Tabbed Content Area
Tab 1: Live Queue / Jurors
- Data grid table with all jurors for this court date
- Filtering, sorting, and export capabilities
- Inline actions on each juror row
Tab 2: Messages
- Send questionnaires to jurors
- Send custom messages
- View message history
Juror Table
The juror table displays all jurors assigned to this court date with the following columns:
Table Columns
- Name: Juror’s full name (First Last)
- Email: Email address
- Juror ID: Unique system identifier
- Court Room: Assigned court room (if applicable)
- Juror State: Current state (e.g., QUEUED, APPEARED)
- Flagged Answers: Icons indicating flagged questionnaire responses
Row Actions
Click the actions menu on any row to:
- View Details: Open the Juror Details Modal
- Approve Request: Approve pending request (if applicable)
- Deny Request: Deny pending request (if applicable)
- View Full Profile: Navigate to the individual Juror Detail page
Filtering the Juror Table
Quick Filter (Search Bar)
- Located in the table toolbar
- Type to search across all visible columns
- Searches name, email, juror ID, etc.
Column Filters
- Click the filter icon in any column header
- Select filter criteria:
- State Filter: Choose one or more juror states
- Court Room Filter: Filter by assigned court room
- Flagged Answers Filter: Show only jurors with specific flags
- Apply the filter
- Clear filters using the “Clear All Filters” button in the toolbar
Exporting Juror Data
To export the juror list to CSV:
- Click the Export button in the toolbar (CSV icon)
- The file will download automatically
- Open in Excel or Google Sheets for further analysis
Export includes:
- All columns visible in the table
- Respects current filters (only exports filtered jurors)
- Includes juror ID, name, email, phone, state, court room
Clerk Actions
1. Call to Appear
Purpose: Assign jurors from the queue to a court room
Steps:
- Click the “Call to Appear” button
- The Call Modal opens
- Select Court Room: Choose the court room from the dropdown
- Number of Jurors: Enter how many jurors to call (e.g., 20)
- Minimum: 1
- Maximum: Number of jurors currently queued
- Appearance Time: Set the time jurors should report
- Click “Call Jurors” to confirm
- A success message will appear
- The selected jurors will transition to CALLED_TO_APPEAR state
- Jurors will receive notification with court room and time
What Happens:
- System selects the specified number of jurors from the QUEUED state
- Assigns them to the chosen court room
- Sets their appearance time
- Sends automated notifications (email/SMS)
- Updates the juror table and metrics in real-time
Tips:
- Call jurors in batches as needed throughout the day
- Ensure you have enough jurors for the panel size required
- Check “At Risk” jurors before calling to avoid no-shows
2. Dismiss Jurors
Purpose: Release jurors from service when they’re no longer needed
Steps:
- Click the “Dismiss” button
- The Dismiss Modal opens
- Choose Dismissal Strategy:
- Dismiss Random X Jurors: Enter a number (e.g., 10)
- Dismiss All Remaining: Dismisses all queued jurors
- Click “Dismiss” to confirm
- A confirmation dialog may appear
- Click “Confirm” to proceed
- Dismissed jurors transition to DISMISSED state
- Jurors receive notification of dismissal
Use Cases:
- Court has reached a verdict and remaining jurors aren’t needed
- Jury panel is full and excess jurors can be released
- Court session is cancelled
Tips:
- Dismiss jurors as soon as they’re not needed to avoid unnecessary waiting
- Use “Dismiss All” at the end of the day if jury selection is complete
3. Generate Documents
Purpose: Create official court documents for this court date
Available Documents:
- Sign-in Sheet: Attendance roster for jurors
- Biographics Sheet: Juror biographical information for attorneys
Steps:
- Click the “Generate Documents” dropdown
- Select the document type
- Document generation begins in the background
- You’ll receive a notification when the document is ready
- Click the notification to download the PDF
Document Details:
Sign-in Sheet:
- Lists all jurors called to appear
- Includes columns for signature and time
- Organized by court room
Biographics Sheet:
- Detailed juror information for attorney review
- Includes questionnaire responses
- Formatted for printing
Messages Tab
The Messages tab allows you to communicate with jurors assigned to this court date.
Sending a Questionnaire
Steps:
- Click the “Messages” tab
- Toggle to “Question” message type
- Select Questionnaire Type: Custom or Informative
- Choose Questionnaire: Select from the dropdown
- Review Preview: The questionnaire content displays
- Select Recipients: All jurors or filtered by state
- Click “Send Questionnaire”
- Jurors receive the questionnaire via email and in their portal
Sending a Custom Message
Steps:
- Toggle to “Informative” message type
- Select Message Template: Choose from pre-configured templates
- Edit Message (Optional): Customize the message text
- Preview: Review the formatted message
- Select Recipients: All jurors or filtered by state
- Click “Send Message”
