Individual Juror Management
Accessing Juror Details
You can access an individual juror’s full profile in several ways:
From Court Details Table:
- Find the juror in the table
- Click the actions menu on their row
- Select “View Full Profile”
From Search:
- Use the global search (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K)
- Search for juror by name, email, or ID
- Click the juror in search results
Juror Detail Page Layout
The individual juror page displays comprehensive information in organized sections:
1. Header Section
- Juror Name: Full name
- Juror ID: Unique identifier
- Current State Badge: Color-coded state indicator
- Back Link: Return to previous page
2. Personal Information
Contact Details:
- Email Address
- Phone Number (mobile)
- Phone Number (home)
- Preferred contact method
Address:
- Street Address
- City, State, ZIP Code
- County
Demographics:
- Date of Birth
- Age
- Gender (if collected)
- Language Preference
3. Service Information
Current Assignment:
- Assigned Court Date(s)
- Courthouse Name
- Court Room (if assigned)
- Appearance Date and Time
Service History:
- Past court dates served
- Previous states
- Completion dates
Registration:
- Summons Date
- Sign-up Date
- Registration Completion Date
- Last Login Date
4. Questionnaire Responses
Qualification Questions:
- Citizenship status
- Age verification
- Residency confirmation
- Felony conviction status
- English proficiency
Hardship & Exemption Requests:
- Reason for exemption request (if any)
- Supporting documentation
- Employer information
- Financial hardship details
Accessibility Needs:
- Mobility accommodations
- Hearing/vision assistance

5. Request History
Active Requests:
- Pending reschedule requests
- Pending exemption requests
- Pending postponement requests
- Status: Pending Review
Request History:
- Past approved requests
- Past denied requests
- Dates submitted and processed
- Clerk who processed
- Notes on decision
Actions on Requests:
- Approve: Click to approve pending request
- Deny: Click to deny pending request
- Add Note: Add internal notes about the request
6. Event History
A complete timeline of all events in this juror’s lifecycle:
Event Types:
- CREATED: Summons sent
- SIGNED_UP: Registered online
- STATE_CHANGED: Transitioned to new state
- CALLED_TO_APPEAR: Assigned to court room
- REQUEST_SUBMITTED: Submitted a request
- REQUEST_APPROVED: Request approved by clerk
- DISMISSED: Released from service
Event Details:
- Timestamp (date and time)
- Event description
- Initiated by (clerk name or system)
- Additional notes or metadata
7. Notes Section
Internal Notes:
- Add notes visible only to clerks
- Document phone conversations
- Record special circumstances
- Flag issues for follow-up
Add a Note:
- Scroll to the Notes section
- Click “Add Note”
- Type your note in the text field
- Click “Save Note”
- Note is timestamped with your name
Managing Juror Requests
Approving a Request
From Juror Detail Page:
- Scroll to the Request History section
- Find the pending request
- Click “Approve”
- The Approve or Deny Modal opens
- Select Action: Choose “Approve”
- If Reschedule Request: Select the new court date
- Add Note (Optional): Provide a reason or explanation
- Click “Submit”
- The request status updates to “Approved”
- The juror receives a notification
What Happens:
- Juror’s request is marked as approved
- If reschedule: juror is moved to the new court date
- If exemption: juror state changes to EXEMPTED
- Juror receives email notification
- Event is logged in juror history
Denying a Request
From Juror Detail Page:
- Scroll to the Request History section
- Find the pending request
- Click “Deny”
- The Approve or Deny Modal opens
- Select Action: Choose “Deny”
- Add Note (Required): Explain why the request is denied
- Click “Submit”
- The request status updates to “Denied”
- The juror receives a notification
Best Practices:
- Always provide a clear explanation when denying
- Review organizational policies before denying exemption requests
- Document your decision for future reference
Understanding Juror States
Jurors move through different states during their service lifecycle:
Pre-Appearance States
- CREATED - Juror has been imported and summons sent
- SIGNED_UP - Juror has registered online
- REGISTERED - Completed the registration questionnaire
- PENDING - Awaiting clerk review or processing
- EXEMPTED - Granted exemption from jury service
- DISQUALIFIED - Does not meet qualifications for service
Appearance States
- QUEUED - Juror is in the waiting queue for selection
- CALLED_TO_APPEAR - Assigned to a specific court room
- APPEARED - Juror has checked in and is present
- AT_RISK_TO_APPEAR - System indicates juror may fail to appear
- FAILED_TO_APPEAR - Juror did not show up
- DISMISSED - Released from jury service
