Juror Pool Management
The Juror Pool is the database of all potential jurors who may be summoned for service.
Accessing the Juror Pool
- Click the Menu button in the top navigation
- Select “Juror Pool”
Pool Overview
The Juror Pool page displays a table with all pool members:
Columns:
- Name
- Phone
- Address
- Created Date
- Last Updated
- Status
Table Features:
- Search across all columns
- Sort by clicking column headers
- Pagination for large lists
- Export to CSV
Importing Jurors from CSV
Preparing Your CSV File
Required Fields:
first_name- Juror’s first namelast_name- Juror’s last nameemail- Email address (must be unique)
Optional Fields:
phone- Primary phone numberstreet_address- Street addresscity- Citystate- State (e.g., “CA”, “NY”)zip_code- ZIP or postal codecounty- County namedate_of_birth- Date of birth (format: YYYY-MM-DD)language- Preferred language
CSV Format Example:
first_name,last_name,email,phone,street_address,city,state,zip_code

Import Steps
- Click the “Import CSV” button
- Upload File:
- Click “Choose File” or drag and drop
- Supported format:
.csv
- Preview Data:
- System displays first 10 rows
- Verify column mappings
- Validate:
- Click “Validate”
- System checks for errors
- Fix any errors and re-upload if needed
- Import:
- Click “Import”
- Progress bar shows status
- Success message appears when complete
- Review Results:
- Summary shows imported count
- Download error report if needed
Tips:
- Always validate before importing
- Keep a backup of your CSV
- Use consistent date formats (YYYY-MM-DD)
- Duplicate emails will be skipped
Summoning Jurors
Steps to Summon
- Select Jurors:
- Check boxes next to jurors to summon
- Or click “Select All”
- Use filters to narrow the list

Click “Summon” Button
- Configure Summons:
- Court Date: Select from dropdown
- Courthouse: Auto-fills based on court date
- Summons Date: Date the summons will be sent (default: today)
- Reporting Instructions: Edit as needed
- Review Summary:
- Number of jurors to be summoned
- Court date details
- Summons send date
- Send Summons:
- Click “Send Summons”
- Confirm in dialog
- Success message appears
What Happens
- Each selected juror receives a summons via email
- Jurors are assigned to the specified court date
- Juror state changes to CREATED (summoned)
- Jurors receive a link to register online
- Summons record is created in the system
Summons Email Contains:
- Court date details
- Reporting instructions
- Link to online registration portal
- Juror ID for reference
- Contact information
Tips:
- Summon 2-3 times the number of jurors needed
- Send summons at least 2-3 weeks before court date
- Use filters to target specific demographics or geographic areas
Editing Pool Members
- Find the juror in the pool table
- Click the actions menu
- Select “Edit”
- Update fields as needed
- Click “Save Changes”
What You Can Edit:
- Contact information
- Address
- Demographic information
- Notes
Removing Pool Members
When to Remove:
- Juror requests permanent removal
- Deceased
- Permanently disqualified
- Duplicate record
Steps:
- Find the juror in the table
- Click the actions menu
- Select “Remove”
- Confirm deletion
- Juror is removed from the pool
Important:
- Removed jurors cannot be recovered
- Service history is retained for records
- Can be re-imported if needed
