The global search allows you to quickly find jurors, courthouses, documents, and content.

Accessing Search

Option 1:

• Click the Search icon in the top navigation

Option 2:

• Press keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac)

Performing a Search

Steps

1. Enter Search Term:
   • Type your search query
   • Minimum 2 characters
   • Examples: “John Doe”, “juror@example.com”, “123456”, “parking”
2. Select Filter Type (Optional):
   • Any: Search all fields and types (default)
   • Juror ID: Search by juror ID only
   • Name: Search juror names only
   • Email: Search email addresses only
   • Phone: Search phone numbers only
   • Court Content: Search education content and documents
3. View Results:
   • Results appear as you type
   • Organized by type:
     • Jurors
     • Courthouses
     • Education Content
     • Elected Officials
     • Documents
4. Navigate to Result:
   • Click on any result
   • You’re taken to the detail page

Search Result Types

Juror Results

• Display: Name, Juror ID, Current State
• Icon: Person icon
• Click to: Navigate to juror detail page

Courthouse Results

• Display: Courthouse name, Address
• Icon: Building icon
• Click to: Navigate to courthouse detail or edit

Content Results

• Display: Content title, Guide type
• Icon: Document icon
• Click to: Navigate to content editor

Elected Official Results

• Display: Name, Position
• Icon: Person with badge icon
• Click to: Navigate to official detail or edit

Search Tips

Exact Matches

• Use quotes for exact phrase: "John Smith"
• Searches for that exact name

Partial Matches

• Type part of a word: “Smi” matches “Smith”
• Matches beginning of words

Multiple Terms

• Type multiple words: “John Smith Springfield”
• Matches all terms

Phone Number Formatting

• Search works with or without formatting
• “5551234” matches “555-1234” or “(555) 123-4567”
