Manage clerk accounts and permissions.
Accessing User Management
- Click the Menu button
- Select “Users”
Viewing Users
The Users page displays:
Columns:
- Name - Clerk’s full name
- Email - Login email address
- Role - Admin, Clerk, Supervisor, etc.
- Status - Active, Inactive
- Created Date - Account creation date
- Last Login - Most recent login timestamp
- Actions - Edit, Delete
Creating a New User
Steps
- Click “Create User” button

The User Modal opens

Fill in Details:
First Name (Required):
- Clerk’s first name
Last Name (Required):
- Clerk’s last name
Email Address (Required):
- Must be unique
- Used for login
Password (Required):
- Minimum 8 characters
- Must meet complexity requirements
- User will be prompted to change on first login
Confirm Password (Required):
- Must match password field
Role (Required):
- Admin: Full system access
- Clerk: Standard juror management access
- Supervisor: Clerk access plus reporting
- Call Center: Call center operations only
Status:
- Active (can log in)
- Inactive (cannot log in)
- Click “Create User”
- Success message appears
- User receives welcome email with login instructions
What Happens
- Account created in AWS Cognito
- User receives welcome email with:
- Login URL
- Username (email)
- Temporary password
- Instructions to change password
Editing a User
- Find user in table
- Click Edit icon
- Modify Fields:
- Name
- Email (caution: will change login)
- Role
- Status
- Click “Save Changes”
Common Edits:
- Change role/permissions
- Update email address
- Deactivate account (set status to Inactive)
Note: You cannot edit another user’s password. Users must use “Forgot Password” to reset.
Deleting a User
- Find user in table
- Click Delete icon
- Confirm deletion
Warning: This permanently deletes the account
Important:
- User’s historical actions are retained
- Cannot delete your own account while logged in
- Consider marking as “Inactive” instead
Resetting User Password
Option 1: User Self-Service
- User clicks “Forgot Password?” on login
- Enters email
- Receives password reset email
- Follows link to create new password
Option 2: Admin Reset
- Edit the user
- Click “Reset Password” (if available)
- System sends password reset email
- User follows email instructions
